Fleet Exodus
Story
The evacuation order came too late. With enemy forces closing in, a fragile convoy of civilian transports is making a desperate run for safety, jump by jump, system by system.
You are their escort commander. You have construction resources, three classes of warships, and a formation grid shared with the very ships you're trying to protect. Enemies warp in from unpredictable vectors. You can't cover every angle.
Some transports won't make it. The question isn't whether you'll lose ships, it's which ones you can afford to lose.
Five jumps. One safe haven. Get as many civilians home as you can.

Game Jam Entry
Fleet Exodus was created for GoedWare Game Jam #16 with the theme "You Can't Save Them All".
We interpreted this theme mechanically as also narratively: the grid has exactly enough space for warships and transports combined, so every placement decision forces a trade-off. Protecting one flank means leaving another exposed. Spending Construction Points on a powerful Battlecruiser means fewer frigates filling the gaps. When an enemy locks onto a specific transport and your warships are positioned on the wrong side, there's nothing you can do but watch.
PS: About This Build
This is a game jam build made over 10 days. There are rough edges, balance is still being tuned and some features are stretch goals that didn't make the cut.
What is here: five full jumps, three warship types with distinct roles, a wave system with swarms, bombers, and a capital ship finale, and a leaderboard so you can see how your civilian count stacks up.
I'd love to know if the formation strategy and the "who do I sacrifice?" tension lands the way I intended. Feedback means a lot! ๐
I cannot win prizes as host, but your comments and ratings are genuinely appreciated.๐
Thank you to everyone who participated in GoedWare Game Jam #16!
